The Need
The project called for the words I AM to become more than printed signage.
The lettering needed enough scale and physical presence to function as part of the environment itself.

When lettering becomes oversized, proportion, balance, placement, visibility, and physical construction all become part of the design.
The forms needed to remain visually clean while creating enough presence to be clearly read within an outdoor setting.
Turn Typography Into an Installation.
Karl translated the message into oversized dimensional letterforms with a clean white finish and strong, simplified shapes.
Rather than adding unnecessary visual elements, the design allowed the scale of the lettering itself to create the impact.

The size and simplicity of the letterforms allow I AM to be immediately recognized from a distance while also functioning as a physical feature within the space.
