THE KARL DRAW PROCESS

A Clear Path from Rough Idea to Finished Build

Custom projects become easier to manage when each decision happens in the right order.

The Karl Draw process is designed to clarify the idea, reduce avoidable mistakes, protect the project timeline, and establish what must happen before fabrication begins.

Execution & Transfer

Every collaboration begins with a brief telephone call to review scope, location, timeline parameters, and structural feasibility.

Paid consultation establishes precise project parameters, production strategy, material options, and a comprehensive build proposal.

Technical sketches, material testing, dimensional plans, and structural calculations are engineered prior to physical fabrication.

Our Memphis studio fabricates the structure, coordinates logistics, and leads or guides on-site installation and final project transfer.

Step 01

Project Inquiry and Complimentary Fit Call

Begin by sharing the purpose, location, timeline, approximate size, available references, and anything you already know about the project.

Qualified inquiries may be invited to a brief complimentary fit call to discuss:

  • General project scope

  • Location

  • Timeline

  • Type of support needed

  • General feasibility

  • Whether the project fits Karl Draw Studio

The fit call is used to determine alignment. It does not include detailed brainstorming, sketches, material plans, or design solutions.

Step 02

Concept Clarity Session

The Concept Clarity Session is for clients who need help defining the idea, strengthening the concept, or determining the most practical way forward.

The session may address:

  • The purpose of the project

  • What the audience should see, feel, or experience

  • Visual direction

  • Scale and location

  • Material possibilities

  • Major feasibility concerns

  • Recommended next steps

A brief written next-step summary is provided after the session.

On-site Concept Clarity Session

On-site sessions start at $450, plus applicable travel.

An on-site session may be recommended when the physical space, access, dimensions, installation conditions, or surrounding environment will significantly affect the design.

Virtual sessions start at $250.

Consultation Protocol

Complimentary fit calls evaluate alignment. Extended brainstorming, dimensional sketches, and material engineering occur exclusively within paid design engagements.
